Legal Secretary - Family Law
Swanwick Murray Roche, Lawyers is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and responsible administrative assistant or legal secretary, preferably for an immediate start, to join their family law team in a full-time position.
Flexible working arrangements, including the ability to work from home, may be considered for an appropriate candidate.
The Position
- Document and correspondence drafting;
- Client and Solicitor liaison;
- File maintenance including data entry, electronic and hard copy filing:
- Copying, scanning, archiving;
- Transcribing dictation;
- Relieving office staff including reception (meal breaks, annual leave, etc.) and other ad-hoc duties as required.
The Person
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:-
- proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel);
- exceptional ability to communicate clearly with clients, external parties and colleagues
- excellent written and verbal presentation skills;
- impeccable attention to detail;
- strong organisational and time management skills to be able to meet multiple deadlines and prioritise workload;
- the ability to manage strict time-frames and work well under pressure;
- high self-motivation with a professional manner and presentation;
- an ability to work both independently and as part of a team; and
- experience with the Leap legal software platform an advantage (but not necessary).
A current Qld Driver's licence is desirable but not essential.
Justice of the Peace or Commissioner for Declarations qualifications or a willingness to attain them is desirable.
