Job Title: Local DG / MC Driver

The Role:
Centurion Shipping division in Gracemere is currently searching for local and occasional long-distance experienced Specialised Ammonium Nitrate bulk drivers who hold their MC Driver licence to join our team on a permanent, full-time or casual basis! Our Specialised MC Drivers are responsible for safely and efficiently transporting bulk ammonium nitrate products from our customer's cargo vessel to deliver to various storage reserves.
Skills and Experience
- Current open MC Licence with a minimum of 2 years experience
- Current DG Licence (highly desirable)
- Current SSAN 5.1 Licence (highly desirable)
- Current MISIC card (highly desirable)
- Previous experience carting general freight
- Previous experience carting bulk dangerous goods
- Forklift licence preferred but not essential
- A sound knowledge of road transport legislation including fatigue management, permit requirements and operating conditions
- Detailed understanding of heavy vehicle road networks and remote locations
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal skills
- The ability to work away from home for extended periods of time
- Safe driving record and commitment to creating a safe work environment
