About the Role

The Technology & Cyber Security department are seeking applications from experienced candidates to fill the position of Logistics Systems Specialist.

As the Logistics Systems Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between logistics operations and IT. You will be responsible for analysing, designing, and implementation of supply chain management software solutions for our internal and external customer operations.

Your expertise in logistics software solutions and operations will enable us to deliver custom, scalable, and impactful solutions to our diverse user base covering anything from cargo handling, containers, rail, shipping and quarrying to name a few.

Reporting to Operations Systems Lead and working in a dedicated team, you will be accountable for:

  • Supporting operations team during scoping phases
  • Creating business requirement documentation
  • Creation of functional design documents
  • Translation of functional design and business requirements into work packages
  • Assessment of work packages (tasks)
  • Supporting project management in relation to technical details
  • Optimisation of existing supply chain management systems
  • Supporting and training our users in our supply chain management systems

 About You

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic person who is a self-starter, problem solver and adept at working within a busy collaborative team environment.

  • Deep understanding of logistics software solutions
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in Information Technology, Logistics or Business (desirable)
  • Demonstrated success in facilitating significant organisational and systems change (desirable)
  • Experience in managing a portfolio of complex programs of work within an operational environment
  • Experience in resources industry is well regarded
  • Mandatory C class drivers licence
  • Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or ability to obtain
