About your role

We have an opportunity for a motivated and dynamic person to join our workshop as a Fitter Machinist working a nine-day fortnight roster. Reporting directly to the Supervisor – Central Workshop, you will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by:

  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures
  • Completing machining tasks over a variety of different pressure fittings and other components including working within fine tolerances
  • Interpreting drawings, measuring equipment and documentation
  • Inspecting components and taking personal accountability for safe execution of work, quality and efficiency
  • Working with your team mates and communicating with internal customers as required
  • Making recommendations and developing safety and productivity improvements to fabrication and maintenance practices

What you will bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you should have:

  • A strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement and teamwork
  • Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter / Machinist
  • Horizontal and vertical borer experience
  • CNC experience is desirable
  • Self-motivated with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement
