Job Description

C&H Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Machinists to join our client's busy manufacturing and engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in producing precision components while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Working within a modern workshop environment, you will be responsible for setting up and operating conventional and CNC machinery to manufacture, modify, and repair components for industrial, mining, construction, or engineering applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC and conventional machining equipment
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Manufacture components to precise tolerances and quality standards
  • Conduct machine programming, tool changes, and machine adjustments as required
  • Perform quality checks using measuring instruments including verniers, micrometers, and gauges
Skills & Experience
  • Trade qualification as a Machinist, Fitter Machinist, Toolmaker, or equivalent
  • Experience operating CNC lathes or milling machines
  • CNC programming experience 
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Knowledge of machining tolerances, tooling, and cutting parameters
