Maintenance Planning Coordinator

Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced Maintenance Planning Coordinator’s to join our Gladstone Power Station client, on site in Gladstone, Queensland. This position will be full time permanent, direct with the client. Hours worked will be a 9 Day Fortnight and 36.25 hours worked per week.

Duties Include:
  • Co-ordinate the planning and scheduling of all maintenance work (mechanical and electrical/Instrument) in their designated area.
  • Ensuring suitable internal and external resources, spares parts and materials have been sourced for ongoing proactive, preventative, predictive and corrective equipment maintenance and outage.
  • Producing and Coordinating a consolidated list of work to be undertaken during Unit outages.
  • Working with the Overhauls and Major Outages Superintendent and Overhauls Planning Coordinator in formulating the work lists and work orders for Unit Overhauls.
  
Education & Qualifications
  • Trade Qualification (Fitting &Turning/other Mechanical/Electrical)
  • Certificate/Graduate Diploma in Business or Maintenance Management or Engineering (Preferred)
  • Qualifications in Reliability Engineering (Preferred)
  
Desired Skills
  • Prior Planning and Scheduling experience
  • Sound interpersonal, meeting, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to set goals and objectives
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Ability to lead team in “best practice” planning and scheduling processes
  • Sound understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices and an ability to promote and maintain a safe work environment
  • Sound computing skills including the ability to use Microsoft Suite and be able to acquire the skills to use any other computing tool (including CMMS)
  • Ability to problem solve and think outside the square
  • Be recognised as the CMMS and Business systems subject matter “expert” for their area of responsibility
  
Experience
  • Working knowledge of maintenance systems/philosophy
  • Working knowledge of and detailed understanding of planning systems and process
  • Working knowledge and detailed understanding of resource levelling and scheduling systems and techniques
  • Understanding of process work management systems
  • Significant experience in maintenance preferably gained in power generation
  • Working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis
  • Working knowledge of Document Management
  • Knowledge of project management concepts
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering concepts
