Manager Capital Program

Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Manager Capital Program to contribute to Council’s success.

About the Role

This is a key multi-functional strategic management role and is required to provide strategic management and leadership oversight of Capital Program Delivery. The primary focus is to ensure the overall management and successful delivery of the Capital Works portfolio of projects.

Your role will include:

  • Developing a strategic and innovative approach to the management of projects, scheduling, reporting and risk management.

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders regarding end-to-end project execution.

  • Being present, pro-active and solutions-focused and recognise that the community is the core of our business.

You will bring:

  1. Bachelor Degree in Construction, Project Delivery, Management (or related discipline) and/or demonstrated substantial high level strategic management experience in project or program delivery.

  2. Demonstrated success in leading and building a culture that drives high-performance in multi-disciplinary and geographically dispersed teams.

  3. High-level detailed technical knowledge of project planning, workflow, schedule risk analysis, risk management, and scheduling work processes for all phases of a works delivery program.

  4. High-level interpersonal and communication skills, inclusive of presentation and report writing skills.

  5. Demonstrated collaboration, negotiation, facilitation and teamwork skills.

  6. Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (particularly MS Project) and operating corporate business systems.

  7. Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
