Mechanical Fitter
Council is seeking to appoint a maximum term full time Mechanical Fitter to contribute to Council’s success. This position is a maximum term opportunity for leave coverage with a projected end date of September 2025.

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to successfully manufacture, install, maintain, and operate mechanical equipment within Gladstone Regional Council's Water Program Delivery team, within required timeframes and within allocated budgets. This position is required to work within all aspects of wastewater treatment plants and sewerage pumps stations daily including exposure to raw sewerage.

Salary for this role is $94,714.09 plus generous on call provisions, allowances and up to 12% super.

On call roster attracts additional leave entitlements.

You will bring:

Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter and relevant experience, knowledge and expertise.

Ability to work in tight spaces.

Appropriate physical skills to perform physical tasks on a daily basis.

Experience and competency operating under a Medium Rigid (MR) License

Communication and literacy skills to complete paperwork, liaise with others and to follow instructions.

Work outside of normal work hours as requested by your supervisor as part of the requirements of the sections published 'on call' roster.

Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.

Current Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
