Job Description

VC Maintenance is part of the Vassallo Group of companies which have been providing services in the Mackay region since 1997.

VC Maintenance’s focus is on maintaining our own light vehicle, highway truck, Quarry processing, earthmoving and civil equipment fleet as well as providing high quality repairs and services for external clients.

The Positions

We are currently seeking a trade qualified Diesel Fitters, Truck Mechanics, and Light vehicle Mechanics with a “Can do” Attitude for an immediate start to join our team. 

The role on offer is Monday to Friday, day shift only, out of our workshop in Mackay Northern Beaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on light vehicle, highway truck, Quarry processing, earthmoving and civil equipment.

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal reliability.

  • Be able to troubleshoot and identify technical issues.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Key Attributes:

  • Trade qualified.

  • Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • Knowledge of maintaining light vehicle, highway truck, Quarry processing, earthmoving or civil equipment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Hold a current Australian Driver’s license and be able to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.

  • Refrigerant handling license (desired but not essential)

  • A valid HC Driver’s Licence (desired but not essential)
