About the Role

We are seeking for a Trade Assistant for Diesel Fitter/Truck Mechanic to join our team with our client in Paget, QLD. In this role, you will be a crucial part of our highly experienced team, using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to provide top-tier repairs and maintenance for heavy vehicles, machinery, and plant. Their services cater to commercial fleets, private small businesses, and public owner/operators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake 2 months of work involving underground machinery and fitting expertise.
  • Refurbish roof tops and replace hydraulic hoses and components.
  • Perform in-town/workshop tasks with general hydraulics or components experience.
  • Carry out tasks such as changing nuts and bolts.
  • Opportunity for longer-term employment based on performance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience working with components or hydraulics.
  • Strong understanding of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate of $60 (flat rate).
  • Work hours from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
