About the Position

Family Health Care Mackay Ooralea is a purpose built health complex, with the practising doctors of this clinic having served the business and mining communities of the area since 2015. This clinic has 5 on-site doctors with a range of different services available, providing high quality care for patients from birth to the elderly. In addition to these doctors, this clinic also has a dedicated occupational health services available, pathology services, as well as a physiotherapist and chiropractor on site. 

About the position

Our Practice is seeking a Part Time Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong customer focus, and enjoys working with a range of stakeholders including Doctors, Allied Health, Peers, Internal and External stakeholders and most importantly, our patients at our Family Health Care Mackay Ooralea clinic.

We are a fast-paced but very friendly, family-orientated private practice.

We are looking for someone who

  • Is confident, professional, honest, reliable and has a great personality
  • Has excellent verbal and communication skills with an exceptional phone manner
  • Has good computer skills
  • Has a high standard of presentation
  • Has the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Has the ability to be flexible

Duties would include reception, appointment bookings, billing and general administrative duties.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Professional approach with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Ability to manage within a busy workplace setting with fluctuating levels of demand
  • Be able to work in a team environment and independently
  • Experience with Best Practice software is desirable
