Medical Receptionist Part-time – Yeppoon Qld

Total Health Medical Centre is a General Practice located in Yeppoon and Emu Park in Central Queensland.  We are currently seeking two experienced Medical Receptionists to join our friendly team. 

Position 1 is approximately 18 hours per week and Position 2 is approximately 27 hours per week. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high quality customer service to all patients
  • Liaising with patients during check-in and check-out 
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Managing incoming and outgoing phone calls
  • Performing data entry, scanning and emailing
  • Processing patient payments and submitting third-party claims
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the surgery, including consultation rooms
  • Respond to patient enquiries and relay important messages to doctors / nurses

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and within a team
  • Flexible availability to cover shifts and support colleagues as required
  • Advanced computer literacy
  • A patient-centred approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High reliability 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist and familiarity with Pracsoft / Medical Director is preferred however training can be provided for the right candidates
