Job Description
Join our Psychological Treatment Services in Residential Aged Care Facilities in delivering psychological interventions with a focus on connecting residents with local supports, including families and loved ones, and consulting with aged care staff to provide integrated care team planning.
In this role your responsibilities will include providing high-quality specialist counselling to older individuals in aged care facilities, ensuring service targets are met and workloads are managed effectively. Ensuring timely data entry and comprehensive documentation of service delivery will be paramount. Collaborating closely with other support services is essential to ensure cohesive client care, while active participation in networking and collaborative forums will help develop referral pathways and promote our services at EACH. Additionally, you will engage in clinical, line management, and peer supervision to maintain professional growth and excellence in service provision.

About you
To succeed in this position, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in individual counselling therapy, with a focus on mental health, trauma, vulnerable populations, and family conflict.
- Knowledge of services, networks, and of the social model of health and mental health recovery principles.
- Experience in therapeutic approaches such as ACT, mindfulness, and brief therapy.
- Proficiency in computer applications (Windows, Word, Email, database applications).
- Competency in working with young people and families from diverse cultural or community backgrounds, including First Nations Australians, those from LGBTIQ+ communities, and those from remote and migrant communities.
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree required by discipline governing body for registration, recognition, or endorsement.
