Mining Engineer - FIFO

We are seeking a highly motivated Mining Engineer to join our team at South Walker Creek Mine located near Coppabella, just 1.5 hours from Mackay.  This role will suit an engineer with a solid background in mine planning and production support, looking to further develop their career in a dynamic environment. With a strong client relationship with Stanmore in place, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing project that has recently secured the contract to 2030.

This role is offered on an 8:6 roster.  Flights, meals and accommodation will be provided. 

Key Role Requirements:

• Develop short-term mining designs for truck and shovel operations, ensuring efficiency and safety in the excavation processes

• In-depth knowledge of Vulcan software to create accurate and effective mining designs

• Present and communicate short-term designs with operations team

• Collaborate with our team to identify and implement the most efficient mining methods for each area, consistently adding value for our client

Key capability requirements:  

• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to create relationships, influence opinions and hold robust discussions

• Commitment to a ‘Zero Harm’ behaviour and project culture

• Analytical, problem solving and decision making skills

• Advanced MS Office skills are essential along with Vulcan experience

• Additional skills in mine planning software is advantageous
