The Opportunity

Mackellar Group is the mining services contractor for Bravus Mining & Resources at the Carmichael Mine — a landmark operation in regional Queensland.

As the operation continues to scale and strengthen, we are seeking an experienced Mining Manager to lead the Production department and drive operational performance on site.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee day-to-day production activities, ensuring safe, efficient and high-performing mining operations. This role is critical in leading teams, optimising output and delivering strong commercial outcomes.

As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing production team
  • Drive continuous improvement across mining operations
  • Oversee all aspects of mine production and performance
  • Work closely with the client, Technical Services and senior management to achieve operational targets
  • Influence and negotiate with the client to maximise outcomes
  • Ensure compliance, safety and production standards are consistently exceeded
To be successful, you must have:
  • Extensive experience in a senior coal mining leadership role (coal experience is essential)
  • Proven track record delivering strong results across mining projects
  • Significant workforce leadership experience within contract mining operations
  • Current Mining Supervisor competencies – G1, G2, G8 & G9
  • Queensland Driver Licence
