Job Description

The Role

Join a growing national business where your trade background and workmanship make a real difference. Based in Mackay and reporting to the Operations Manager, this newly introduced role has been created to support a consistent and expanding pipeline of residential and commercial repair and maintenance work.

As a Multi-Skilled Tradesperson, you will deliver a broad range of hands-on work across cabinetry installation, carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to take ownership of your work, supported by an established organisation with proven systems and a strong team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install kitchen cabinetry, benchtops, hardware, and associated fittings

  • Read and interpret plans, drawings, and measurements to ensure accurate installation

  • Perform general carpentry works, painting (interior and exterior), and handyman services including repairs, maintenance, and fixture replacements

  • Diagnose on-site issues and deliver practical, cost-effective repair and maintenance solutions

  • Safely operate hand and power tools while maintaining a clean, organised, and compliant worksite

  • Communicate professionally with clients, provide clear job updates, and ensure all work meets quality, safety, and industry standards

Could This Be You?

We are looking for a reliable tradesperson with a proactive attitude and the ability to deliver quality workmanship across a range of tasks. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in kitchen cabinet assembly and installation

  • Strong carpentry and painting skills (interior and exterior)

  • Broad handyman and maintenance experience across residential properties

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills

  • Good communication, customer service, and commitment to professional, high-quality workmanship

  • Current driver’s licence
