Industrial Blaster - About the Role:

MPV Sandblasting and Coating Services is seeking a talented and experienced Industrial Sandblaster to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for sandblasting, operating sandblasting equipment, the inspection of surfaces for any damages or imperfections and carrying out necessary repairs, performing routine maintenance, adherence to HSEQ procedures as well as maintaining accurate records of sandblasting activities and materials used.

  • Preparing surfaces for sandblasting

  • Operating sandblasting equipment

  • Regular inspections of surfaces with necessary repairs carried out continuously

  • Large variety of industrial blasting - differing tasks and scopes

  • Maintenance of sandblasting tools and equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot maintenance concerns and make necessary repairs/recommendations

  • Strict adherence to HSEQ policies and procedures

  • Track and document activities and materials used accurately

  • Ability to work autonomously

     

About you

  • Minimum 2 years proven sandblasting experience

  • Current forklift license

  • Ability to work independently, and part of a team

  • Reliable and consistent with your work

     

Yardsman/TA - About the Role

Assist tradespeople and technicians with various tasks, including setting up and preparing tools and equipment for projects, basic rigging, and maintaining a clean and organised yard. Key responsibilities include ensuring proper storage of materials and equipment, following all safety procedures, performing general housekeeping duties in the yard and workshop, and assisting clients with loading and unloading jobs.

  • Loading and unloading of deliveries, tagging jobs as they come into the yard

  • General yard duties - ensure the yard is in a clean and tidy state at all times

  • Assist technicians and tradespeople where required

  • Effectively coordinate with clients and staff regarding deliveries

     

About you

  • Yardsman/TA experience

  • Highly organised and detail focused

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to communicate with clients and team

  • Safety focused

  • Forklift ticket

  • Crane & dogging experience - desirable

The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, a safety-conscious approach, a valid driver's license with reliable transport, and their own accommodation.
