About the Role

Reporting to the Manufacturing Superintendent you will provide administrative support to our team on site at our manufacturing plant in Bajool on the Queensland Government’s Explosives Reserve. 

This is an autonomous role with a wide range of responsibilities ranging from data entry to conducting site inspections. Do you possess great organisational skills, enjoy variety and have a can-do attitude? Then we are looking for you to join our team. 

 

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Reception duties and execution of general office activities

  • Responsible for conducting site inductions and filing relevant records

  • Inventory and purchasing of PPE and stationery supplies

  • Preparation and formatting of documents in various programs

  • Data entry and record management

  • Management of Arrowtail and production close weekly

  • Purchase order management and invoice approval

  • Plan and conduct site inspections

  • Completion of Vendor and Banking Master Data forms

  • Assist with the month end process including stock count and reports

     

To be Successful You Will Possess

  • A minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in a similar role

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration is desirable 

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel

  • Experience from working in an ERP, procurement or accounting system is desirable 

  • Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to obtain and retain a Queensland Explosives Security Clearance

  • A valid driver’s licence and access to your own transport
