The Opportunity

As part of the Total Waste Management team, the On - Site Manager based at Moranbah or Mackay, this role  is responsible for coordinating operators and ensuring seamless execution of work in alignment with client requirements and company procedures. This leadership role is instrumental in fostering a high-performance culture, delivering outstanding service, and maintaining strict compliance with safety and waste management regulations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Always ensure safety and environmental compliance
  • Supervise and coordinate the handling of waste on our client sites, ensuring product quality standards are achieved in accordance with company procedures
  • Conduct audits on the integrity of waste containers and sorting areas ensuring that recycling opportunities are maximised
  • Perform maintenance and safety checks on vehicles and equipment and non-technical truck inspections as and when required
  • Ensure that vehicles and equipment are operated in accordance with training, instructions or operating procedures and company regulations
  • Coordinate and schedule daily driver runs to achieve efficiency and meet customer expectations
  • Initiate regular meetings with key customers to discuss operational performance and assist them in their understanding of EPA requirements and adhering to these regulations

 

About You

You will be self-starter with the ability to work autonomously. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who looking to develop as a leader while building and growing relationships with our mining customers.

The right candidate will likely come from an industrial, manufacturing, mining or oil and gas environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage and educate our customers on waste disposal
  • Proven team leadership experience
  • Possess computer skills in Microsoft Office and operational databases
  • Have experience within the waste and/or transport industry
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
