Qube Bulk now have a position vacant for a Fixed Plant Operations Manager to join the team at our Moura/Baralaba operations.  

Reporting to the Regional Manager, this position will oversee the effective delivery of haulage operations with a key focus on people, plant & equipment maintenance under our haulage and train load out contract, ensuring that work by Qube complies with all clients, regulatory and company responsibilities, including and most importantly safety.

 Specific Responsibilities 

  • Resource management with a key focus on people, plant and equipment
  • Provide technical support for the fixed plant operations
  • Oversee maintenance activities on all fixed plant equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operation
  • Ensure QUBE Procedures and Policies, and those related to Client Operations are understood and adhered to
  • Ensure vehicle and driver compliance of all relevant HSE, Client, NHVR and Qube policies and procedures
  • Organizing and scheduling the operators to meet daily haulage requirements and targets
  • Management of production and mechanical break-down issues
  • Provide comprehensive reporting to the management team on haulage achievements, challenges and issues
  • Providing effective guidance, coaching, and mentoring to site personnel
  • Maintaining and fostering a working environment which prompts safety in all that we do, whilst also providing outstanding service
  • Development of working relationships with key stakeholders on site 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Minimum of 5 years' leadership experience in fixed plant maintenance within the mining or heavy industry
  • Previous experience working within Mining, Logistics, shipping or other heavy industries and working towards production targets viewed favorably
  • Financial, Budgetary and P&L Management experience
  • Standard 11 Mining Induction
  • Mining Supervisor S123 & G2 Risk Facilitator Qualifications
  • RIIVEH302E Operate multi-combination vehicle (desirable not essential)
  • RIIMPO308F Conduct tracked dozer operations (desirable not essential)
  • RIIMPO305F Conduct coal stockpile dozer operations (desirable not essential)
  • RIIMPO304E Conduct wheel loader operations (desirable not essential)
  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable not essential)
