Job Description

Steel Central Pty Ltd is a privately owned company and North QLD's largest Steel Processing Business, operating from a 4800m² State of the Art Workshop with 8 CNC Machines. 

About the role

  • Operation of CNC Profile Machines ( Laser / Plasma / Oxy )
  • Metal Processing & Forming ( Saws, Press Brakes, Plate Rolls, Drills)
  • Materials Handling by use of Overhead Cranes & Forklifts
  • Willingness to follow procedures & instructions

Skills and experience

Preference will be given to applicants with:

  • Experience in a similar role preferable the steel industry
  • Forklift (LF) licence
  • Overhead Cranes (CB) licence or proven experience 
  • Basic Dogger (DG) licence 
  • MR / HR Truck licence
  • Trade Qualification such as Boilermaker / Fitter / Welder
  • Fit, able and willing to perform manual handling tasks
