Parts Sales Representative

About the opportunity:

Reporting to our Aftermarket Business Development Manager, the role of Parts Sales Representative at Komatsu Underground Mining is not for the faint-hearted. You’re an integral part of our customer’s experience, based out of our Rockhampton or Mackay Service Centers, liaising with Customer Service Teams, Account Mangers, Service Technicians and other key stakeholders to ensure we deliver on our promises.  

A key component of this role will be to maximise investment in customer visits and deliver value to our customers’ business. You’ll gather and report key information to contribute to a proactive team approach to sales growth. 

Additionally, this role is responsible for proactively identifying opportunities, conducting professional and effective meetings with customers, and selling appropriate solutions from the full range of Komatsu products and services.  Please note this role will require site-based work and travel.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of our Komatsu Soft Rock Underground Fleet of equipment will be advantageous.
  • Prior experience selling parts or services within mining the industries.
  • Demonstrated high level problem-solving skills 
  • Knowledge & experience in identifying sales opportunities by listening to the needs of the customer and linking the available product offerings to match those needs.
  • A high level of drive, persistence, and sales resilience.
  • Great time management skills enabling you to cover a large territory and customer base.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites and exposure to SAP desirable 
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external parties. 
  • Ability to create reports to show customer relationships and sales related activity.
