We are HDE Engineers (HDE). We deliver high quality, practical engineering solutions and project management to the Mining, Power and Heavy Industries and we are looking for a skilled Personal Assistant to support our Business Director with operations and human resources within our company. 

About You

You would describe yourself as highly motivated, professional and dependable. You’ll enjoy the challenge of ‘finding a better way’, or ‘overcoming a problem’ and be able to follow through, with documenting, coordinating and executing processes. You’ll take pride in your attention to detail and the quality of your work; be a master of time management; and an effective communicator.

From a skills perspective, you will need solid experience in a similar role; great computer literacy and legally able to work full time at our office in Rockhampton, Queensland… But most of all, you need integrity, passion and pride in everything you do!

The Role 

This is a new position within the business providing direct support to the Business Director to ensure the efficient operation of their time and responsibilities. As the Personal Assistant to the Business Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and managing recruitment,
  • Team onboarding and inductions,
  • Coordinating and executing plans for skills training and team reviews 
  • Coordinating daily planning meetings,
  • Managing the director's calendar, sorting emails, and providing client correspondence,
  • Managing and coordinating travel schedules and arrangements,
  • Assisting in asset planning and purchasing,
  • Assisting in the development, and management of business systems,
  • Producing meeting notes and action points,
  • Assistance in preparing documents for quarterly business plans.

Hours of Work

7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday

7am to 1pm Friday
