Mackay Discount Drug Store is a locally owned & run community pharmacy located just across from the Mater Hospital & we are currently wanting to expand out team.

This role would entail reporting to our NDIS coordinator to help the Mackay community with their NDIS consumables. We currently have over 250+ participants & want to ensure that we have the structure to grow which will ensure our reputation for excellent customer service!

Key Responsibilities:

• Taking orders & helping participants source products they require

• Placing orders

• Invoicing

• Preparing orders

• Communicating with participants, support coordinators, carers & suppliers to ensure that consumables are delivered in a timely manner.

• Communicating effectively with the NDIS coordinator


Other preferred attributes:

• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office & competent learning new computer programs

• Background in administration & invoicing preferred

• Background in NDIS preferred but not essential

• Ability to work under pressure & problem solve

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with their prescription and general enquiries

• Maintain the pharmacy retail space including stock management, merchandising and 


• Updating customer files and other administrative tasks

• General pharmacy duties

• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers.

• Answering phones

Other preferred attributes:

• A proven background in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment or any retail environment (preferable in pharmacy)

• Good availability

• Able to multi-task and be proactive in the role

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Phone Etiquette

• Dedicated work ethic and a strong team player

Both positions involve flexibility in hours and working times and will be discussed during the recruitment process.
