Plant Operator Labourer 

  • Permanent Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $69,430 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 5 + Site) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

Your new role

Do you have experience in the operation and basic maintenance of truck and plant in the civil construction industry? Council is seeking a highly motivated Plant Operator/Labourer to join our Civil Operations team.

You will operate trucks and plant while undertaking construction labouring duties when necessary. You will be required to carry out pre-start checks of trucks and carry out all duties in a safe maner.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

  • Extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of trucks and plant, preferably in the civil construction industry.
  • Ability to carry out your duties in a safe manner whilst ensuring the safety of your team members and customers.
  • Must be capable of working harmoniously and productively in a diverse and multi skilled work team.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work in a changing environment.

Application Criteria

  • HR Class Truck Licence, Traffic Management Implementation, or willingness to obtain, with experience in the operation of various trucks within a civil construction environment.
  • Solid labouring experience in a Civil Construction environment and adhering to WHS practices.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and multi-skilled team whilst promoting a positive attitude.
