Plant Operator/Labourer

  • Permanent Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $71,703 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 5 + Site) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

Your new role

Due to internal staff movement, Fitzroy River Water are seeking experienced Plant Operator/Labourers to assist with construction and maintenance activities associated with the delivery of water and sewerage services.

Work with our team on a variety of major projects including major water pipeline upgrades, Treatment Plant upgrades and various other projects. Duties will include truck driving and the operation of plant (Excavator, Backhoe and Skid Steer) with labouring tasks associated with civil construction required.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

  • Strong labouring background with mandatory licences/tickets.
  • Team player who enjoys working outdoors and physical work.
  • Willingness to work and learn the full range of roles and responsibilities within the team.
  • Safety focussed and the ability to identify hazards and risks on the worksite.
  • Experience in the completion of general and site maintenance activities related to water and sewerage infrastructure is desirable.

Application Criteria

  • MR Truck Licence, Excavator, Backhoe and Skid Steer tickets with demonstrated experience.
  • Labouring experience in a general construction or maintenance role.
