  • Permanent Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $71,703 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 5 + Site) + Superannuation
  • Location – Gracemere

Your new role

Do you have experience in the operation and basic maintenance of plant in the civil construction industry? Council is seeking a highly motivated Plant Operator/Labourer to join their Rural Operations team.

You will operate a Pneumatic tyred powered road roller (over 8 tonne), while undertaking road building duties in a rural environment. You will also be required to undertake general civil construction labouring duties including, but not limited to, pipe laying, concreting, level-checking, bitumen/road works and compaction using vibrating plate.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

 What we are looking for

  • Extensive experience operating a Road Roller, working in rural areas and an unrestricted “C” Class licence.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Safety first attitude.
  • Desirable ticketed and experienced for “HR” Class licence or higher.
