Truck Driver/Labourer 

  • Fixed Term (22 August 2025) Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $70,440 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 4 + Site) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

Your new role

Do you have experience in the operation, maintenance and servicing of truck and plant in the civil construction industry? Council is seeking a highly motivated Truck Driver/labourer to join their Plant & Resources team.

You will operate tipper trucks and plant while undertaking road building labouring duties when necessary.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

  • Hold a Construction Industry Induction (White Card).
  •  Ability to legally operate under a “HR” Class Licence (Unrestricted).
  •  Extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of trucks and plant, preferably in the civil construction industry.
  • Must be capable of working harmoniously and productively in a diverse and multi skilled work team.
  • A working knowledge of the requirements for small machinery and hand tool operation and maintenance, including two-way radios.
  • A positive demeanour with an ability with a customer focused attitude.

Application Criteria

  • HR Class Licence (unrestricted) and experience in the operation of tip trucks within a civil construction environment.
  • Solid labouring experience in a Civil Construction environment and adhering to WHS practices.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and multi-skilled team whilst promoting a positive attitude.
