About the role

Liquaforce (a RLFAgtech company) is seeking a Plant Technician to join our operations team in Mackay, Queensland. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst driving the manufacturing of our liquid fertiliser for local growers. This is a hands on position where you will be directly involved in blending, machinery operation and maintenance and liaising with our customers. This position is based on-site at our Mackay facility.  

The role has the potential to move to a permanent position and play a role in the expansion of the facility.

What you will be doing:

  • Mixing and manufacturing liquid fertiliser products to required specifications. 

  • Handling raw materials and finished products safely and accurately. 

  • Completing production records, delivery paperwork and stock documentation. 

  • Carrying out quality checks and reporting any issues or variances. 

  • Keeping the plant, equipment and work areas clean, safe and maintained. 

  • Supporting loading, unloading, deliveries and general plant operations as required. 

The ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience as a plant technician or similar role within the manufacturing and production environment. 

  • Knowledge of basic mechanical systems, equipment operation and maintenance principles

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures. 

  • A safety-focused, reliable and cooperative approach. 

  • Forklift licence desirable. 

  • Current driver’s licence required;

  • Truck licence required. 

  • Flexibility and reliability; weekend availability in peak season (August-December)
