Family Health Care Mackay Walkerston is a friendly, welcoming medical centre that has looked after the health of our local community since 2014. Within this clinic, there is a strong team of extremely professional, experienced and dedicated doctors that provide a broad range of health care services to patients of all ages.
About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a caring nature, high level communication skills and attention to detail.
Our clinic is open Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. Applicants must be available to work until 5pm closing as rostered. This position offers a minimum of 16 hours a week and additional hours when covering holidays and sick leave, as needed.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience in General Practice, with plenty of support and room to grow. There is an opportunity for the right candidate to become permanent part time or full time if desired.
The Practice Nurse will:
- Be willing to learn and work as a team to provide culturally appropriate assessments, therapeutic and education services for clients with chronic disease as required
- Participate in Quality Improvement Activities
- Adhere to relevant professional Code of Ethics guidelines
- A willingness to implement and adapt to change when required to benefit patients, staff, and the wider group
About You
- Current APHRA registration as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse is essential
- Flexibility and willingness to work a range of shifts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer literacy
