About You

Whitsunday Anglican School is seeking applications from upper primary educators who are committed to providing high-quality education in support of the ethos of the School. Cognisance of the Australian Curriculum is highly desirable, as is inspiring a love of learning, both inside and outside of the classroom, and where each student can attain their personal best whilst promoting high standards in a caring environment. An ability to contribute to the School’s thriving co-curricular and Outdoor Education programme will also be advantageous.  

 

Candidate Profile

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications

  • Upper primary experience highly desirable

  • Registration with Queensland College of Teachers or ability to obtain registration

  • Demonstrated high-level organisational, planning and problem-solving skills

  • Engaging pedagogical practices and the ability to differentiate

  • Demonstrated use of initiative, with the ability to anticipate the needs of a School organisation

  • Operational understanding of TASS and Schoolbox will be highly desired or a willingness to learn

  • Ability to analyse and use data to inform teaching practices

  • A genuine passion for teaching and the ability to build strong relationships 

  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills, who can engage and inspire

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
