We are seeking an experienced Principal Investigations & Compliance Advisor to join our Health & Regulatory Services team. This senior specialist role is responsible for leading and managing complex investigations into alleged breaches of legislation, local laws, and regulatory frameworks. You will ensure integrity, procedural fairness, and compliance with relevant laws and policies while building capability across the program through training, mentoring, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex investigations into alleged breaches of legislation, local laws, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Provide strategic regulatory advice to ensure compliance actions are lawful and ethical.
  • Promote proactive compliance through education and engagement initiatives.
  • Develop tools, resources, and procedural documentation to support effective regulatory practice.
  • Lead quality assurance activities, including audits and case reviews.
  • Monitor and report on regulatory trends and emerging risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align regulatory activities with organisational policies.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Comprehensive experience in conducting and managing complex investigations in a regulatory or compliance environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Highly-developed analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of investigative techniques, procedural fairness, and relevant legislation.
  • Degree in Regulation, Compliance, Governance, Investigations, Law, or related field; or equivalent experience.

Desirable:

  • Experience in mentoring and capability building within regulatory teams.
  • Experience in developing tools and resources for continuous improvement.

  • Base annual salary of $ 118,872.39 to $130,539
