The Role
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Process Technician to join our Mackay Primary Distribution Centre (PDC). You will be working within a team who are directly responsible for blending, bagging and despatching various fertilisers. We have a strong commitment to Safety, the Environment, Quality and our customers while maintaining a good focus on plant reliability.
You Will Also:
- Comply to IPL’s strong commitment to HSE
- Complete Permits to Work, JSAs, Work Instructions & Take 5 documentation
- Loading and un-loading trucks of bulk and bagged products as required
- Strong customer service skills and focus
- Using the sites computerised bagging system and working within a small team to palletise bagged products
- Carrying out daily pre-start checks on plant and mobile equipment
- Working as a team member on our bagging production line
- Autonomous maintenance tasks
What you’ll bring
- You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety
- Ability to learn new skills in the required time frames
- Current unrestricted drivers licence
- Ticketed for the operation of - front end loader and forklift (desired, although willing to train the right candidate)
- You will be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of planning and inventory
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate a small team to fulfil production requirements safely within tight time frames would be strongly desirable. (on afternoon shift)
- A sound knowledge of Excel, Word, Citec & SAP is highly desirable

The Site
Located in the Mackay Port locality, we import bulk fertiliser and produce blended and straight fertiliser products on average of 75,000 tonne anually
