About the Position

We are looking to welcome a Program and Alliance Coordinator to lead a vital service supporting vulnerable families, coordinate referrals, build alliances, and drive impactful outcomes in Mackay. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of children and families.

  • Level 7 SCHCADS Award.
  • Salary range: $119,094 - $124,074 + Superannuation.
  • Full time, Government funded position until 31 December 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to deliver high quality outcomes within a performance planning and development culture.
  • Manage intake, referral, and engagement processes to meet output and outcome requirements.
  • Lead case consultations with team members in relation to risk management, enhancing quality practice and keeping the child in mind.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Intake Service, regional Child Safety staff, and other Family and Child Connect services regarding the development of the Family and Child Connect model.

About You

  • A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (Allied Health, Social Work, Human Services).
  • Professional registration (if required).
  • Membership of a relevant professional association (desirable).
  • At least five (5) years’ experience managing a multidisciplinary team in a similar environment.
  • Highly developed knowledge of child protection issues and the child protection sector in Queensland.
  • Experienced in fostering collaborative relationships that support positive engagement with stakeholders and community groups.
  • Cultural awareness and an understanding of how to communicate and work effectively with families from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Other Requirements

  • Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Legal ability to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required).
