About this role
As the Program Manager, your role will be to oversee the day-to-day performance and development of Wellways' Out of Home Care business within Mackay. Part of your new role will include managing the quality-of-service delivery as well as managing the budget and supporting our dedicated Residential Youth workforce.

This is a diverse role and includes the implementation, selection, recruitment and induction of staff. This role will ensure that all Out of Home Care services are delivered at consistently high standards that meet and exceed all legislative requirements.

We are looking for someone with high organisational and analytical skills as well as performance development of staff and a thorough understanding of appropriate systems and processes that support staff in the Child Safety/ Out of Home Care environment.

You will be motivated with a genuine interest in leading a team of workers that support young people in need. You will have highly developed trauma informed skills with experience in program delivery utilising effective systems and processes.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience working within programs for young people and families
  • Experience in coordinating and leading a successful team.
  • Operations management skills, including budgets, financials, measurement and evaluation.
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant accredited course and/or relevant substantial experience with a Diploma/Cert IV qualification
  • Current Driver's License and the ability to undertake regular travel.
  • Satisfactory Police Records Check.
  • Blue Card (Current - no card no start policy applies)
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check/Yellow Card (Current - no card no start policy applies)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate:
  • Completed Hope and Healing Framework Foundation Training - this will be supplied by Wellways if needed
  • Current First Aid certificate or willingness to complete before starting
  • Available to participate in out of hours activities, as required, to deliver on key role requirements and outcomes
