Project Control Officer (Disaster Recovery)
Council is seeking to appoint a maximum term full time Project Control Officer (Disaster Recovery) to contribute to Council’s success. This position is a maximum term funded opportunity with a projected end date of June 2027.

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to provide specialist project coordination, financial tracking, and compliance support to ensure the effective delivery of Council’s Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) program. The role is responsible for monitoring project progress, ensuring adherence to funding eligibility and documentation standards, provide input to financial submissions, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) requirements.
This position plays a key role in ensuring the integrity, transparency, and accuracy of Council’s disaster recovery project reporting, while supporting continuous improvement of related processes and systems.
You will bring:

Demonstrated transferable experience with project management systems and controls, in a project or maintenance environment.

Skills and experience in control, process and reporting of projects.

Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.

Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
