Project Manager - Major Maintenance

Job Description

Protech are seeking experienced Project Managers – Major Maintenance to join our motivated team at Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal. 



  • Attractive Hourly Rates with weekly pays
  • Monday – Friday roster - Approx. 50 hours per week
  • Maximum Term Full Time Positions
  • Salary Sacrifice Options 
  • Onsite GPS Protech Support Staff - Account Manager and Admin Support


Brief Overview:

  • Manage Major maintenance projects, to meet customer requirements through the application of project management skills.
  • Establish and maintain systems and processes to manage projects.
  • Planning, tendering and executing of shutdowns/projects.
  • Manage a budget for shutdown work through monitoring cost allocation and expenditure.
  • Report on shutdown and project status.
  • Schedule and plan outages for project work, in consultation with key stakeholders.


Technical Experience:

  • 3 + years demonstrated project management skills in a similar role. 
  • Trade background - Mechanical, Electrical or Structural (Mandatory). 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team. 
  • Knowledge of modern maintenance methods and experience in their application to materials handling plant.
  • Demonstrated contractor management skills. 
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills. 
  • Negotiation skills.
