KAEFER Integrated Services are currently looking for two PROJECT MANAGERS for our Queensland operations. These are permanent roles initially undertaking planning work out of our office in Mackay and then working FIFO across multiple sites for project-based work. 

We are seeking two highly skilled and experienced Project Managers with a background in the Coal and/or Minerals and Metal industry, specifically in maintenance and construction. As key members of our team you will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects related to maintenance and construction within the mining sector. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets and quality Standards
  • Review tender documentation and liaise with required stakeholders
  • Review contract and specification to develop methodologies and staffing requirements to meet or exceed contracted requirements
  • Ensure equipment and materials are delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules and contract requirements
  • Attend regular meetings with project personnel and Client representatives to ensure effective project performance, communication of progress and management of positive relationships
  • Utilize your experience in the Construction and Maintenance industry to provide strategic guidance and technical support throughout the projects lifecycles.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise
  • Control expenditure, variations and prepare claims for projects
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards and environmental guidelines

About You

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Experience (15yrs+) will be considered in lieu of Degree.
  • With Degree you will have proven experience (at least 4-5yrs) as a Project Manager in the Mining industry, with a focus on maintenance ($1M-$20M) and construction (up to $40M) projects
  • Project Management Qualifications
  • Strong leadership skills, adept at unifying teams, fostering continuous team growth and cultivating strong relationships
  • Capable of thriving under pressure and demonstrating leadership by maintaining composure and effectively guiding the team in a composed manner
  • Professional communication able to liaise with site personnel and relevant stakeholders
