Position: Experienced Quarry Operators 

Location: Gladstone, Central Qld

About the Role:

  • Controls plant and equipment during quarry operations such as moving and loading earth, screening, site preparation and bulk haulage onsite.
  • Safely manoeuvres and operates plant and equipment around work sites, adhering to all safety instructions.
  • Loads and unloads plant and equipment from floats, low loaders or trucks when needed. 
  • Selects and changes attachments such as shovel blades, buckets, augers, rock hammers and grabs in accordance with job requirements. 
  • Ensure all duties are performed in a safe and secured manner.
  • Complete all documents related with equipment operation.
  • Demonstrate good housekeeping practices.
  • Apply best practice standards in all areas of HS&E, quality procedures, standard operating procedures & job safety analysis systems.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A valid QLD driver’s licence. 
  • Hold at least two or more tickets of the following machines: grader; dozer; excavator; skid steer (tracked and wheeled); loader; backhoe; roller. 
  • Proven experience in screening, extraction & bulk haulage within quarries. 
  • Strong communication skills, capable of completing necessary paperwork and collaborating effectively with colleagues and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical assessments, drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability and willingness to complete site inductions and actively participate in pre-starts.
