The Role

An opportunity exists within Livingstone Shire Council for a Receipting Officer to join our Systems and Administration team in Infrastructure Services.

This position will be required to undertake procurement receipting activities, establish and maintain good working relationships with vendors, review and monitor accuracy and currency of data. The position is responsible for providing purchasing and requisitioning support across the Infrastructure Portfolio in a professional, efficient and confidential manner ensuring compliance with Council’s purchasing policy and directive and the development of good working relationships with all staff and suppliers. 

The successful candidate is responsible for answering and responding to calls and emails and delegating enquiries to the appropriate business unit, therefore will require good knowledge of Council’s structure. Responsibilities include prioritising tasks according to deadlines and providing superior customer service and administrative support in an effective and efficient manner. 

 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will have:  

  • Work experience relevant to the position (receipting, purchasing or administration); and 
  • Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle driver licence.
