About the role:
At Anglicare Central Queensland, we believe children thrive in safe, familiar environments. As a not-for-profit organisation, we support Kinship carers - family and community members who step in to care for children when they need it most.
We are currently seeking a Recruitment and Retention Worker to join our Foster and Kinship Care team in Rockhampton. They will promote the services of Foster and Kinship Care in Central Queensland and build strong relationships with carers to support their journey and improve retention.
What will a typical day look like?
- Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of a Community Awareness Strategy in relation to the recruitment of Foster Carers.
- Design and coordinate Foster and Kinship carer recruitment events.
- Assist with the organisation’s participation in events for target groups to increase the profile of Foster Care. This includes promotional days, education sessions, training, recruitment activities and information sessions.
- Work closely with the Foster, Kinship and Intensive Care team to ensure that the impact of any campaign/event is addressed at the planning stages.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Certificate IV Community Development, Social/Behavioural Science, Social Work/Planning, or a related discipline
- 1-year relevant experience

- Full COVID-19 Vaccination
- Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
- Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
