About the role

Registered Nurses are an integral part of the perioperative team whose role encompasses the delivery of either direct, or indirect, patient care. Mackay Specialist Day Hospital is currently seeking a Theatre nurse for scrub/scout.

The scope of practice within the perioperative environment may include, but is not limited to roles such as:

• Pre-Admission /Admission
• Scrub/scout
• Other selected duties as allocated by the Director of Nursing (or representative)

The successful candidate will have:

• Demonstrated nursing experience with no less than 12 months experience
• Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team in theatre, recovery, admission
• Unconditional AHPRA registration
• Knowledge of clinical care plans and strong clinical skills
• Genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service and patient care
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
