The S&W team specialises in providing a turnkey service for project management, which can be tailored to our clients needs, whether it be basic support or a comprehensive team to take their project from planning, procurement, execution, delivery, and handover.

About the Role
Are you an experienced Reliability Engineer with expertise in draglines, shovels, and heavy mobile equipment? Join our team and take a key role in optimising fleet reliability within a challenging coal mining environment, working onsite in collaboration with a leading global mining company to drive operational excellence.

As the Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for on-site asset reliability, with a focus on large-scale field equipment, including haul trucks, excavators, dozers, graders, and loaders. Your role will involve data-driven analysis, defect elimination, and the implementation of predictive maintenance strategies to maximise equipment uptime and optimise operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilise SAP PM modules to manage work orders, track defects, and optimise maintenance workflows.
  • Apply advanced diagnostics and monitoring techniques to prevent unplanned downtime.
  • Work closely with maintenance crews and operational teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to extend equipment life cycles and reduce maintenance costs.
  What You Bring
  • Extensive experience in field-based reliability engineering, specialising in the coal industry and heavy mobile equipment.
  • Strong technical expertise in mobile fleet maintenance, fault analysis, and asset management best practices.
  • Proficiency in SAP PM for maintenance planning, execution, and tracking.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work effectively on-site, collaborating with maintenance supervisors, operators, and engineering teams.
