About the role:
We are currently seeking a Residential Care Coordinator to oversee our Residential Program in Rockhampton. Our Residential Care Coordinator will provide leadership and direction for strong service delivery and participant outcomes. The coordinator will manage a team of staff ensuring that participant care, assessment, support, and advocacy is of a high standard.
What will a typical day look like?
- Contribute to the improvement of services for the best outcomes for young people.
- Assist with the establishment and development of a strong and positive team environment to ensure excellent communication between team members.
- Ensure adequate and effective staffing and scheduling of support for young people within budget and roster guidelines, including proactive workforce management.
- Engage with stakeholders such as participants, relevant government agencies and personnel, families, and the community to sustain effective and collaborative working relationships.
- Support program staff to gain and maintain a sound understanding of young people’s needs based on an understanding of trauma, grief, loss, attachment and child development.
- Support program staff to gain and maintain a sound understanding of the scope and outcomes required for each service agreement.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Full COVID-19 Vaccination
- Diploma or bachelor qualifications in Social Services/Child Protection or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in coordination of support for people with complex needs.
- Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
- Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
