About you

We are currently recruiting casual Youth workers with a shared perception of improving and supporting the day to day lives of the young people in our care.

 

• Flexible, tolerant, patient, organised, reliable and punctual.

• Commitment to young people and understand the factors affecting their lives.

• Able to follow policies and procedures.

• Ability to work minimum of 24 hours a week.

• Willingness to travel to regional locations.

How you will support Young People

• Empowering young people to make positive and informed life choices.

• Assisting with their daily routines.

• Engaging and communicating with the young people in your care.

• Assisting in domestic tasks, shopping, cleaning, meal prep.

• Administrating Medication 

• Implementation of the behaviour support plans.

• Write detailed and accurate daily shift notes.

• Follow organisational policies, including Occupational Health and Safety

• Become a valued BRC employee to our clients.

 

Requirements

• Have a full QLD Driver's Licence and a Car

• Comprehensive car insurance 

• Current Working with Children's Check

• 6 months of paid and recent experience as a Youth Support Worker within a residential setting.

• Current First Aid and CPR certificate

• Medicare Evidence of 2 COVID-19 Vaccinations

• Minimum Cert IV in Youth Support / Diploma of Community Services

• Current availability to work
