RN/EN Nurse

An exciting career opportunity now exists for a RN/EN Nurse at our General Practice Medical Centre in Mackay.

Excellent working environment with an interesting and varied case load. 

This role is for 3-4 days a week some weeks maybe more as you would be relieving while other nurses are away on holidays or sick.

The applicant must be professional, efficient, hardworking and have the ability to create a good rapport with GPs, staff and patients. We are looking for someone with passion and that will be committed to the role. Our expectations on the requirements for the successful candidate are as follows:

• Willingness to learn and work as a team.

• Highly organised and have the ability to multi-task.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Have the ability to follow procedure but be confident in decision making skills and working autonomously.

• Demonstrates initiative and drive to achieve favourable outcomes for the clinic and supporting doctors.

• Able to demonstrate adaptability to different personalities.

• General practice experience is desirable, specifically with basic procedures and pre-employments, but new grads are welcome to apply if the other requirements are met as we have a strong commitment to training our people.

Your role will be based in the treatment room so will need to be confident in or will be trained with administering vaccines, Care plans, wound care, triage, assisting with minor procedures, stock control, ECG's, Health assessments and managing patients with chronic health conditions.
