We’re seeking a motivated and organised Safety Advisor & Workshop Support person to join our team in Paget.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in workplace health & safety while gaining exposure to workshop operations and administration within the mining and heavy industry sector.
This role will work closely with our HSEQ Manager and Workshop Manager, supporting day-to-day workshop operations, safety compliance, workforce administration, and dispatch coordination.
About the Role
This is a hands-on support role that combines safety administration with workshop operational support duties.
Your responsibilities may include:

Assisting with workplace health & safety compliance and documentation

Promote a proactive safety culture across all workshop and site activities

Supporting toolbox talks, inductions, and safety initiatives

Conducting workplace inspections and hazard reporting

Assisting with maintaining training records, licences, and compliance documentation

Supporting incident reporting and corrective action tracking
-
Assisting with workshop dispatch coordination and job tracking

Supporting the Workshop Manager with general administration and operational tasks

Liaising with workshop personnel, supervisors, and contractors

Assisting with onboarding and mobilisation requirements
About You

Highly organised and reliable

Trade, workshop or heavy industry environment experience

Motivated to develop a career in safety and heavy industry

Confident communicating with workshop personnel and management

Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Safety focused with strong attention to detail

A team player with a positive attitude
Preferred Skills & Experience
-
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (completed or currently undertaking) highly regarded

First Aid and CPR Certificate - highly regarded
-
Fire Warden Training - PUAFER005 or PUAFER006 - highly regarded

Sound knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and risk management practices
-
Previous administration or workshop support experience preferred

Experienced in a trade, workshop or heavy industry environment

Exposure to mining, fabrication, construction, or heavy industry environments advantageous
-
Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office
-
Experience with timesheets, scheduling, or dispatch coordination beneficial
