About the role
As a Part‑time Sales Assistant at Ranbuild: Sheds & Garages Mackay, you’ll be the friendly first point of contact for our customers across Central Queensland. You’ll play an important role in helping people turn their shed and garage ideas into reality, while supporting our small, hands‑on team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys dealing with people, likes variety in their day, and values reliability and consistency in a supportive family‑run business.
What you’ll be doing

Greeting and assisting customers in person, via email, and over the phone

Providing clear, helpful information about our sheds, garages, and services

Handling sales enquiries and processing customer orders

Maintaining accurate customer records and updating information as needed

Supporting the team with general administrative tasks

Keeping the office tidy, organised, and welcoming
No two days are exactly the same - you’ll be trusted to manage your work, take ownership of tasks, and contribute positively to the team.
What we’re looking for

Previous experience in customer service or sales (retail or construction industry experience is an advantage, but not essential)

A friendly, professional manner with strong communication skills and great attention to detail

Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently

Confidence using computers and basic office software

An interest in the building or construction industry and a genuine desire to go above and beyond for customers
