Sales Engineer - Industrial Automation

Job Description

As an Industry Sales Engineer, your primary function will be to sell and promote all Schneider Electric Industrial Automation, VSD’s and Telemetry products, solutions and support throughout the designated sales territory. You will play a pivotal role in supporting business growth and profitability. 



You will report to the National Sales Manager of our Industry segment vertical. This position will be based out of Auckland, with a mix of local and regional travel, and working from home. With some occasional overnight travel required. 



What You Will Do



  • Maintain and service existing business and actively seek out to obtain new business to ensure the continual growth of the company
  • Directly attend to customer needs for all Schneider Industry products, Ecostruxure Plant solutions and services/support in the designated sales territory
  • Follow up promptly on sales leads generated by marketing/digital activity
  • Uncover projects in the designated sales territory and lead the bids to maximize success
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events
  • Account manage System integrators, End Users, OEMS and Large Contractors through your region
  • Report and provide general market feedback on market activity



About You



You are someone that gets excited about technology and excels in problem solving within challenging environments. You are focused, collaborative and passionate about the work that you do.



  • Experienced Industrial Electrician and/or Controls Systems Engineer
  • Experience as a Sales Engineer desired but not essential
  • A passion for Industrial Automation/Software and Digital Transformation
  • Genuine focus on improving customer satisfaction and engagement
  • A team player and keen to Learn Everyday
