ROLE EXPECTATIONS: As a key player in the growth of the business, you will be expected to:
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand the company’s presence within the building materials market, particularly in the Gladstone Park area.
  • Identify and target key clients, including builders, contractors, and commercial developers.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities by developing strong relationships with key decision-makers in the construction sector.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the brand and increase market visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their project requirements and offer tailored building material solutions that meet both functional and aesthetic needs.
  • Provide expert advice on products, specifications, and installation methods.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of products into projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality standards are met.

CANDIDATE EXPECTATIONS: To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • Proven experience in building material sales, with a strong background in selling to builders and contractors.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and a track record of driving sales in the construction or building materials sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of building materials, products, and trends in the construction industry.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a dynamic sales pipeline.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with builders, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a history of successfully closing high-value contracts.
  • Established relationships with industry professionals such as builders, architects, developers, and contractors will be highly regarded.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
  • A technical understanding of building materials and construction processes is highly advantageous.
